Description
Java Tea, or Cats Whiskers, is a traditional medicinal health tea. It is used mostly for its anti-inflammatory and urinary health properties. It has been said to help in the treatment of gout, joint inflammation, and other inflammatory related conditions. The taste of Java tea is reminiscent of the well-known green tea. Java is a variety of tea with a light, mild and woody taste, mild, earthy aroma with a dark distillate colour.
This tea is best known for supporting kidney function. It’s often used to help prevent and manage kidney stones, promoting urination and flushing toxins from the kidneys. For urinary health, it may increase the loss of body water through the urine (diuretic effect), stop spasms, and reduce swelling.
Java tea contains compounds like rosmarinic acid and flavonoids that may reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, providing benefits for overall health and potentially aiding in chronic inflammatory conditions. Java tea has been used traditionally to support digestive health, particularly for issues like bloating and indigestion.
