Catha edulis f. green 10 Seeds

Description

Catha edulis originates and is widely cultivated in East Africa (especially Ethiopia, Kenya, and Yemen) and the Arabian Peninsula. Catha edulis f. Green is an evergreen shrub or small tree, growing up to 25m in height that produces shiny, dark green, and elliptic shaped leaves. Catha edulis prefers warm arid climates with well-drained soil.

Catha edulis f. Green is likely a seed grown Red strain plant that did not display the red stem traits. It was cloned thereafter to retain the green stems.

There are hundreds of different strains. Among communities from the areas where the plant is native, it has a history as a social custom dating back thousands of years.

Note.

These seeds originate from Catha edulis f. Green plants, which were open pollinated and located in the vicinity of Red, Pink and Narrow strain plants. Therefore they may not throw true to type

Germination Tips: To germinate Catha seeds sow just below the surface and keep moist until germination. Seeds should germinate in around 2-3 weeks at a soil temperature of 18-24°C.
