Description

A species of Acacia native to eastern Australia. A slender shrub or small, spreading tree growing to 5m high with cream rod-shaped flowers.

A near coastal species occurring principally in the Nambour and Nerang districts of south-eastern Qld with outliers at Gin Gin near Bundaberg and Mt Nebo near Brisbane, the Mullumbimby district on the far northern coast of N.S.W., the Sydney district and in the Batemans Bay-Moruya district on the south coast of N.S.W.

It usually flowers Jan–May but fruits rarely and so far has been noted as fruiting only during Nov.

Common Name.
Narrow-leaf Wattle.

Germination.
To increase the germination rate, the seed should be treated first. It can be soaked in hot water or the seed can be nicked or scarred so that water will penetrate the seed’s hard coating and induce germination. Use a sandy free draining soil mix and place in a warm area.

Every seed packet is hand counted and is guaranteed to contain at least the number of seeds specified, however human error can occur and please don’t hesitate to contact us if there are any discrepancies.
To the best of our knowledge these seeds are viable to the standard percentage for it’s species, either SAB nursery grown or purchased from a reputable trusted breeder. However, if you disagree, please do not hesitate to contact us for up to date germination rates or for a germination test to be conducted.
