When used in aromatherapy, Palmarosa oil, or Rosa Oil, relaxes the muscles and nerves, fights depression, fatigue, anxiety, anger, and nervousness.
The oil obtained from its leaves and inflorescence (flowering tops) is widely used in soaps, cosmetics, toiletry and tobacco products. Palmarosa oil is reported to possess potent antiseptic, mosquito repellent and pain relieving properties.
Palmarosa not only has antioxidant properties, but also a large variety of bioactive molecules that have potential for activity against insects, the big C, and protozoa infections.
It is known to enhance complexion, prevents inflammation, balances sebum oil production in the skin and remedy acne.
Cymbopogon martini is widely used as a flavouring for food, beverages, and snuff products.
