Description
Swedish Bitters is a traditional herbal tonic made by steeping a blend of bitter herbs in alcohol. It’s most commonly associated with the Austrian herbalist Maria Treben, who popularised a classic formulation in the 20th century—though the recipe itself dates back much earlier, often linked to the Swedish physician Paracelsus (16th century).
Our Swedish Bitters is an Australian Made, High Quality Tincture made from the following traditional ingredients;
Aloe (Aloe ferox), Senna (Cassia angustifolia), Rhuburb Root (Rheum palmatum), Myrrh (Commiphora molmol), Zedoary (Curcurma zedoaria), Manna Ash (Fraxinus ornus), Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale), Angelica (Angelica archangelica), Black Cohosh (Cimicifuga racemose), Valerian (Valeriana officinalis), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Cardamon (Elettaria cardamomum), Saffron (Crocus Sativus), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), Fennel Seed (Foeniculum vulgare), Aniseed (Pimpinella anisum), Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Rose (Rosa spp.), Natural Camphor, 40% Alcohol.
