Description
Hops dried flowers are most famously known for their use in beer production, helping to keep beer fresher, longer; helping beer retain its head of foam. It is a key component of a beer’s aroma and flavour; and, of course, add “hoppy” aroma, flavour, and bitterness.
In the traditional herbal medicine the dried flowers were recommended for the treatment of sleep disturbances, restlessness, mania, toothache and earache. In later years, Hops has been said to assist with tension, excitability, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, nervousness, and irritability.
Hops has also made a name for itself in the cosmetics industry. The antioxidant properties of hops make them a popular ingredient in beauty products that aim to support and protect the skin from environmental aggressors.
