Description

A small shrub growing up to 2m in height with pretty indigo flowers. It is frost and drought hardy. Traditionally the crushed leaves were placed in waterholes to kill or stun fish and eels.

In recent times, the leaves and stems have been used as a natural dye, producing a yellow-fawn pigment when used with alum as mordant.

Common Name.
Hill Indigo; Austral Indigo.

Germination.
Heat treatment or scarification of seed is needed for germination.

Every seed packet is hand counted and is guaranteed to contain at least the number of seeds specified, however human error can occur and please don’t hesitate to contact us if there are any discrepancies.
To the best of our knowledge these seeds are viable to the standard percentage for it’s species, either SAB nursery grown or purchased from a reputable trusted breeder.
