It is used to help retain moisture in the skin and reduce circles under the eyes, to relieve mild joint and muscular pain, relieve mild respiratory conditions and to aid overall good health and immune systems.
For skincare, helichrysum oil has its fair share of benefits. The essential oil contains antioxidants that can help to minimise the signs of ageing such as wrinkles, fine lines, and including blemishes thereby keeping our skin young-looking. This is because the antioxidants protect the skins collagen. As you may know, it is the main protein component of our skin.
Furthermore, the scalp can reap benefits from this essential oil. The oil is capable of cleaning the scalp, makes the hair look thicker, and prevents dryness. For deep conditioning, blend 8 drops of helichrysum oil with 3 tablespoons of coconut oil. Gently apply this blend to dry hair and leave for 20 minutes before rinsing.
