Description
Capsicum annuum ‘Peter Pepper’, also known as Penis Chilli or Penis Pepper due to its distinctively phallic shape, the Peter Pepper has both ornamental and culinary uses. The flavour and aroma has a bit of complexity to it, not just pure heat.
Commonly used in pickling, salsa, and curries, it can be used like jalapeño or serrano peppers. The pepper has a Scoville scale rating of 10,000-23,000 SHU depending on cultivation and preparation, making it more spicy than the jalapeño.
Germination Tips: To germinate Capsicum annuum ‘Peter Pepper’ seeds, sow in light, well-drained soil medium. Keep in a warm location at a temperature of at least 16 C until the seeds sprout in 16 to 20 days. Keep moist, but not wet.
